The pie’s in the oven.

Today, I:

Painted my nails the color of wine.
It feels classy. ok?

Spent 10 mins looking for orange juice minus the pulp.
In case you didn’t know, oj comes in all levels of pulp. Super pulply, pulpy, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, just a teeny weeny bit pulpy, and finally, pulp free. ok. exaggerrated, but still, try navigating through all those options!

Made bacon.
Turned it into a blt.

Learned a little bit about myself.
This happens daily.

Took a little bit of time to learn more about God.
This should happen daily.

Jammed out to the Smashing Pumpkins.
I know they’re out of date! They’ll never be out of date in my world.

Jammed out to the Smashing Pumpkins while baking an apple pie.
While clouds of flour exploded everywhere.
While flinging dough scraps carelessy onto the floor and cupboards and fridge.
While literally cutting myself with a butter knife.
While watching my roommate, Carly, gape in utter horror at the mess that was ensuing before her eyes.

But yet, there’s pie.
That is always an occasion to celebrate the day….even when there are so many things to celebrate to begin with.

By the way, the pie is in the oven as a write.
Presisly 16 more minutes until it comes out.
This is more than I can handle.

Now only 3 minutes.
I can’t handle the aroma coming out of the oven.

The timer went off!!!!
YESSSSSS!
ummmmm. no.
It needs to get a little bit more golden around the edges.
I can do this.  I can wait.  Five more minutes.

This is getting ridiculous….
When will the pie be done!?

Ok, I started at 3:30 this afternoon, and it’s not done yet….hence my frustration.
But it will be worth it!!
For sure, for sure.

Could this be?  Is the pie ready? Like, for real?

I’ll let the picure speak for itself 🙂

I promise I’ll let you know what it tastes like!  For now, it needs to cool.

Peace out.
